Everything I need and more

Okay so Im probably not the ideal person to write a review for a microwave. To be honest I usually use it to heat up coffee. But if youll bear with me I will give my thoughts. First thing is it really is pretty easy to install. LG gives you everything you need excellent instructions and things just work. I was really impressed. Toughest part was the cutouts for vents cord bolts but even that was pretty easy. The template they provide is spot on. Just tape in to the shelf mark the pattern and cut. Same with the wall mount. Line it up drill the holes put the mount on the wall. Enough about that. If you have any concerns about putting it in you may want to call your friend who is good with DIY or a handyman. Operation works brilliantly. Plenty of room for a large dinner plate and even for tall coffee cup. Foam of course. Even comes with an oven type shelf. Not sure what you would need this for but it comes with it. Probably more for those who really cook with theirs. All operations are very simple and even somewhat intuitive. I dont know why they dont have a coffee button though. One thing I miss but not too much is on my old unit all you had to do was hit 1 and it would start for one minute 2 for two minutes and so on. Not a big deal but I did use it. The looks are fantastic Quality materials used for everything and styling is very nice. Two things about the keypad I would like though. First a backlight would be nice and second you get a lot of glare on the very shiny plastic. Both are not a real problem but would be nice. Overall I would say this is a fantastic value. Could not be happier.

I renovated my entire kitchen in the fall/winter of 2018. Bought all new appliances including a microwave. Just a little over a year later the microwave wont heat. Its out of warranty. Had to buy a new microwave and I will say it wasnt an LG. Terrible customer service and product. That shouldnt happen in just over a year.

I was disappointed in the light on the underside of the microwave very dim compared to my other microwave. Instructions very limited on how to change power levels but other than that it is a microwave like most microwaves. I do like the looks but hard to see buttons no back light. It matches my oven that helps. It will do as long as it does what it is supposed to do. I would tell people what to look for that is missing on my oven let them make their own decision on whether to purchase or not.

Very disappointed in the venting feature. I can have the setting to high and the smoke or steam does not get pulled into the vents doesnt even get pulled in that direction. I am better off not turning it on as its just a loud noise with no impact. Would be nice if there was a quick minute feature. Light under the microwave is very dim. Vent grates for t seem to fit snuggly and become dislodged easily. Nice look just overall underwhelming and very disappointed in the vent issue.

I bought this microwave 5/28/18 it didnt even last 2 years .. yesterday I tried heating mashed potatoes they were cold after 3 minutes.. I didnt by an extended warranty because microwaves I have owned in the past last years.. I also bought a LG stove I did get an extended warranty on it just hope it last longer than the microwave this is ridiculous.. I have to buy a new one now but I will be purchasing a different brand. Its sad LG doesnt make a better product.

Recently bought Is overall nice and easy to use drawback is the lights...Not only is the oven inside light a little dim the....what was called cooktop/nitelight is misleading. The 1one light under neath is no more than just a nitelight.30watts is NOT enough to use for cooking was disappointed. I NEED a light over stove as my kitchen not all bright and lit up with one small window especially in winter. Charcoal filter in an inconveinent place. Overall everything else very nice works nice.For me ...the light sucks

No express settings

I did not realize that there are no express settings besides the 30 and 10 second ones until the oven was installed. You have to push time and minutes unless you want to push the 30 second space umpteen times. Its a small thing but unusual not to have this feature. Other than that its just fine.

Awesome Fridge makes ice in two places

Love our fridge makes a ton of ice in fridge door and a separate basket in the freezer bottom shelf. Owned over 3 years and no issues sometimes ice gets stuck in shelf just take out give a little shake and your back in business. We have had Kenmore and Whirlpool in the past but so far the new LG fridges are better quality along with great technology. Go get you one A++

I would not recommend this microwave to anyone. This is my second microwave of this model. The first one lasted two years the only reason I replaced it with the same model was because I didnt want to have to hire someone For the install and to have another bracket put up. I would never purchase another LG model again. This new microwave that I purchased takes forever to heat anything and the microwave puts off a smell like it is overheating.

Failed twice

I have owned this microwave less than 8 months and it has failed twice. First it stopped heating food which was resolved after waiting weeks for LG parts and service. About a week after the first repair the microwave stopped working altogether. Its been over two weeks and Im still waiting for a second service call. Despite several requests LG has refused to replace the faulty product.

We have had our new microwave for 2 weeks now and it is great does everything that we had hoped for its fast and cooks evenly very quiet compared to the last brand we had the inside shelf is nice to have allowing multiple items to be cooked at the same time that auto defrost works amazing it is the most used appliance in our kitchen the hood vent is very powerful and vents steam away from the range to the outside very well all in all we would buy this LG product again

I am very satisfied with the performance of the microwave except there is no timer built in for other use and the information pad has no back lighting therefor it s difficult to use unless there is light shining directly on the pad

LG Microwave

I am very happy with my new microwave. It replaces one I purchased in 2005. It was a Gold Star made by LG and is why I purchased another LG. The 2005 Gold Star would no longer cook but everything else on it still worked. I also had to replace my 20 year old refrigerator and purchased a new LG which I also love.

We put in the over-the-stove LG microwave to replace our 21-year old Frigidaire unit. Install was no problem. After installing the LG mounting plate I lifted the LG microwave into place until it engaged the lower lip of the mounting plate. I then lifted it to a near level position and had my wife slide the LG box onto the stove and slide it just under the microwave. We checked the two top mounting screws were correctly located and completed the install. All works fine since the install. Had it for about two weeks. This model does not have turntable rotate on/off switch it always rotates but that doesnt bother up. We never turned the turntable off on our old microwave. Two comments on ergonomics... The front panel buttons are just a little harder to push than our previous model. Viewing the clock digits get a little cut off when viewed at an angle from the left or right sides.

Has more features then I expected for the price

I got this weeks ago and it has worked good for me. Would of given it a 5 star except the exhaust filter screams keep falling out. Have put them back in multiple times now. Will probably modify them to prevent it. Other then that though it seem to be a great product.

Ive owned this for about a month. Instillation was easy. If you havent done it before check out a Utube video. I have only one complaint. There is not a timer. Otherwise looks great and works as expected

I am mostly but not completely happy with this microwave. It looks good and does a great job of cooking. But it has no timer. Since I have seen basic models with timers I expected this one to have one. I use a timer frequently so am very disappointed this model does not have one.

An Excellent Microwave with the Best Warrenty

The LG LMV1762ST has an auto reheat feature that helps prepare foods without entering a cook time or power level. The unit senses doneness on its own and will do automated adjustments. A neat function is the EZ On touch button which starts a 30-second cycle with one push. That can be handy to add to the end of a cycle. Best item of the interior is an easy-clean coating and a shelf which was a consideration when purchasing. This unit seems to move more air than the previous unit and includes a choice of two different fan speeds. The LG LMV1762ST comes with 10 years of warranty coverage on the magnetron. That is the most important and most expensive part of the microwave. This greatly influenced our decision on the purchase of this unit as our prior unit did not have this amount of coverage.
